Pediatric Prevention Research Center

The mission of the Pediatric Prevention Research Center is to promote and advance the field of health promotion and disease prevention through research, education, service, and policy advocacy. The researchers at the center collaborate with faculty members of pediatrics, and other departments on campus, to conduct high-quality behavioral, epidemiologic, biomedical, translational research in the areas of HIV/STD, substance use and misuse, mental health in both domestic and international settings. The center provides training and technical assistance in prevention research methodology (e.g., biostatistics, statistical computing, data management, experimental design, survey instrument development, ethnographic study and evaluation) to faculty, residents/fellows, students, community organizations, and international scholars.
